It’s that time of year again when Muslims start considering their buka puasa options and like most years, you just can’t beat the buffet style dining at The Royale Chulan Seremban starting from 6th May-4th June, opening at 7pm.

 

                                         Duck, fish and chicken smoked with real charcoal and coconut husks. 

 

The culinary team, led by Executive chef Rahim Awang, are offering  authentically cooked Negeri Sembilan dishes like daging, ikan and itek salai, hand cooked using the appropriate charcoals and coconut husks to do the smoking. This year the highlights include an extensive variety of food like whole-roasted lamb, Gearbox soup, Ayam Goreng kampung, as well as the everlasting favourites bubur lambuk, Apam Balik, nasi briyani, noodles, ulam uluman, sambal, Malay kuih-muih, fruits and deserts.

 

There will be poolside culinary stations serving special tenderised grilled whole lamb, ala Arabian, fresh grilled seafood, satay sausage and much more.

Dine outside or inside while listening to live ‘Ghazal Asli Al Sufi music and Muslims can take a short walk to the hotel’s surau for prayers and tarawih.

 

The price for adults is RM120nett and RM60 for children and early birds can purchase a voucher book of 10 vouchers at RM100 each and save yourself some Ringgits, but you’d better be quick as there are limited amount of books and they sell very fast.

Chef Rahim Awang has named the Ramadhan theme this year as ‘Aroma Asiatique’ and offers 4 rotation menus to keep the menu fresh for the regular diners and with  more than 100 dishes on each menu, it is bound to please  those discerning patrons.

“You have to move with the customers increased expectations,” he said, “so this year we will offer dishes from Negeri Sembilan as well as places like the Middle east, including kurzi, a curried lamb casserole with almonds, cinnamon and galangal.”
