It's been a while but the UTC at Plaza Angsana is now open for business.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan will officially open the long awaited UTC complex on Thursday, 30th November but the UTC is already operating and will hopefully iron out any bugs, like car parking.
Operational offices of the Immigration Department, Road Transport and National registration will be based at Angsana as will be various commercial utility companies like Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Telekom Malaysia and SAINS, amongst others.
The renovated complex has everything, including a gym, Giant supermarket and a variety of convenience stores, including bookshops, clothes, religious paraphenalia and banks, as well as some non-governmental organisations, such as Fomca.
It is anticipated that Jobs Malaysia, Mara, the Labour Department and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation, will also be situated within, as will Klinik 1Malaysia, Kedai Kain 1Malaysia and Kedai Buku 1Malaysia.
One of the best things Malaysians like about UTC's and the similar Rural Transformation Centre's (RTC) are that some of the government offices are open until 9pm allowing families to eat out whilst paying the bills.
