Negeri Sembilan's singing chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob has just won the Best Media Profile award at the Le Cordon Bleu's inaugural 2017 Alumni awards in Paris, France.
The news was posted on the 39-year-olds Instagram account after the prestigious function on Monday.
The award is dedicated to Le Cordon Bleu alumni who have achieved excellence and contributed to the culinary world, as well as received the most effective media coverage for their respective careers after completing their studies at the institute, said Fazley said.
Fazley was chosen as the winner from a pool of four nominees also from Asia.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful for this recognition and for the fact that my efforts have borne fruit,he said with a big smile.
Le Cordon Bleu is one of the world's largest hospitality education institutions and has been a leader in the fields of hospitality management, culinary arts and gastronomy since 1985, with an annual enrolment of more than 20,000 students from 100 countries.
