Food, glorious food

If you haven't given your tastebuds a treat by now at the 2017 Malay-Thai food festival in Paroi, then you had better hurry up as there is only three days left.

 

Genuine regular Thai food, like Pad Thai dishes and smokey Char Kuay Teoh are on offer as is the salad type Som Tham dishes, the list goes on.

 There are also distinctive Malay dishes like Rojak Buah, some variations of Pau and massive satay sticks. For me a week is not long enough to work my way through the whole menu let alone try all the cool drinks like mango slurries and ocean coconut shakes.

 

There are also stalls selling stuff - everything from shoes and hand bags and make-up and radios and selfie sticks and runners and shirts and fabrics- pretty much a one-stop shopping frenzy with food and drink to slow down manic shoppers like my wife. But who can resist a handmade cute RM10 handbag? (AUS$3)

 

The festival at Paroi Sports complex ends on Sunday the 19th so get done there and try it out, I'm going back as my tongue is beginning to feel normal again now two Pad Thai dishes a couple of days ago lit it up - thank god for yoghurt lassies.
