If you are looking for something to do on the 5th November look no further, you have to try water-caving with experienced guide Nonie Muhammad.
She will take you into Batu Maloi cave at the Mt Tampin Forest Reserve which has one of the best water caves for both those at the beginner and intermediate level.
It is a good trek to get there through lush rainforest to get to the cave entry which is about a kilometre in length.
The entry is hidden somewhat by big granite boulders and stones and has a stream running through the cracks.
There are narrow winding passages that eventually lead to a chamber with the big granite rocks that butt up against each other the highlight - they allow light rays to penetrate through the small gaps, as they have done so for millions of years, guiding your way through.
It is real fun as you wend your way through with Nonie and her experienced guides squeezing through the holes sometimes dipping into the chilly water and at times submerging to make your way through.
It certainly makes the experience really fun!
The experience begins at 8am when you meet, have breakfast and a safety briefing with the trek beginning about 9.30am.
The exploration should be over by 12.30pm with a meal after before dispersing.
It is an experience you will never forget so get in quick before it is booked out or you get too old!
Event fee : RM50 per person included permit, guide, breakfast, lunch & exploration.
Optional Additional : RM25 per person for helmet rental & insurance for all risks.
