Tree climbers gathering

The second Malaysian Tree Climbers Gathering (MTCG) will take place from September 15-18 after the success of the first gathering in 2014.

This biennial event focuses not only on tree-climbing and activities but aims to educate participants with knowledge sharing from experienced climbers, network enhancement as well as checking out the latest new stuff!

Attendees will learn new techniques, how to climb faster and safer in championships, employing a mixture of techniques and gear derived from caving and rock climbing experts.

Tree climbers will have plenty of time to climb in the many sessions set down as well as learn arborist techniques from guest speakers like Malaysian vice-Chairman of the Malaysia Arborist Association,Rosslan Yaacob and Andy Neverman from New Zealand, who is an experienced tree worker for Arbor Creations (NZ) and an expert in tree-climbing Championships.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own tree climbing gear and Sparks Wood Adventure Park will provide a few activities to all participants during the gathering such as Orang Utan Walk (High Rope Obstacles), Flying Fox/Zipline, Pony Ride, Boat Ride, Tarzan Swing, Archery and Wall Climbing.

Accomodation during the event is provided by Sparks Wood Adventure Park which is a cabin dormitory with attached toilet, is air-conditioned, and has a double decker bed with a mattress, pillow and blanket.
