Chinese New Year dragon dance
Shoppers at Prima in Seremban were treated with an acrobatic dragon dance on Saturday evening.
Jumping and leaping about on the high stilts to the sound of drums and clangs, two dragons, four men altogether, performed amazing skills which enthralled the crowd, and at times scared some children.
Dragons are a symbol of China, and they are believed to bring good luck to people and the longer the dragon dances, the more luck it will bring to the community.
They are believed to possess qualities that include great power, dignity, fertility and wisdom and the appearance of a dragon is both fearsome and bold but has only a benevolent intent.
