It's 10pm in Malaysia and the cooler conditions of the evening have enticed the crowds out for some night-time activities.
I'm heading home after a few laps on the running track but the aerobics / Zumba / Disco is just beginning, families with infants, some in prams are just arriving and the boom box is maxing at full volume.
Some nights attract more than 150 people to the mass exercise class, mostly women, who follow the instructors leads.
Most just come to walk around the track, others run, a few kids are on skateboards but they are just wandering about, jalan jalan style checking out what's happening, while monitoring FB posts on their phones or just chatting amongst each other, and laughing- there's a lot of that going on.
The sports complex at Paroi has just about everything on offer, futsal courts, badminton courts, tennis courts, sepak tacraw courts, a 400m running track, outdoor excercise facilities, a gym, two skateboard ramps, a skate bowl, lawn bowling fileds, a climbing wall, netball courts, a soccer field, basketball courts,a kids exercise playground and an outdoor, undercover full-size billiard table.
Add to that soccer training, parkour practise, out door Muay thai and karate training sessions and you have a party type crowd having fun.
