Six-year old Husnah, above, came all the way from Nilai with her family to learn some archery skills at Ladang Alam Warisan, near Seri Menanti.
Husnah was just one of more than 120 people that attended a school holiday programme there called Adwira, which included basic traditional archery, horseriding and horsemanship.
Owner of Ladang Alam Warisan, Akmal Dahalan, said "This program was meant for children from 10 to 17 years of age, but it was surprising because we received a lot of response from older kids aged 19 to 20 years of age, and their parents too."
"They learned basic archery skills and in this session they spent two hours learning technique and then they engaged in a friendly archery competition. Same goes for the horse riding session, they learned about trust and respect, about grooming and leading the horse."
"I guess because the fees were so cheap for those 4 hours, just 50 ringgit (AUS$18), it attracted a lot of participants, he said."
Nothing was going to stop little Husnah getting her moneys worth as she let go as many arrows as fast as she could, her mum and dad saying she was very excited and they would definitely be returning.
