Close to Masjid Jamek are some wonderful shopfront streets that take you back in time and are wonderful photo opportunities.

Old Chinese temples are surrounded by shops, the walls adorned with insignia’s with craftsmen making steel boxes and other Indian workers weaving garlands of flowers together – it’s the sort of place you can find just about anything.

Be careful crossing the road here as it is a bit of a speedway for motorists. Also keep your eyes on the ground and walls as there are many old painted motifs and services offered in a variety of advertisements.
