Just across the road from the Seremban Railway station are the Lake Gardens, or Taman Tasik, which are some very well-kept lakes and gardens, big trees, a park that has excellent pathways and is popular in the late afternoon and mornings as people come to walk, run or exercise.
Here you can walk around the lakes via different routes, or just sit and watch the joggers and exercise junkies pass you by.
The many tall trees offer shade, as does some gazebos plus there are permanent concrete tables and chairs for picnickers.
The lakes used to be a popular fishing spot for anglers but that activity is now banned and has been replaced by some water paddle-boats and kayaks for families to enjoy.
There are plenty of hotels around this area, including one of the best hotels in town, The Royale Chulan, which is a great place to base your stay and relax, as it is close to many popular places.
Shopping centres like Seremban Prima, some great restaurants serving Minangkabau food and allows holidaymakers easy access to the main highways to explore places like Port Dickson, Melaka or the inland towns and many mountains in Negeri Sembilan.
